Pirate Pete Collector is designed as a local-first collection management app for collectible card game players. Most collection data you enter, including card quantities, decks, tournament records, preferences, and local notes, is stored on your device.
Some optional online features may send limited data to Pirate Pete Collector servers or service providers so those features can work.
Information We May Collect
When you use optional online features, we may collect or process:
- Trade profile information, such as display name, trade/want lists, offer details, trade history, and app-generated profile IDs.
- Push notification tokens used to send trade-related alerts.
- Card scanner requests, including card images or OCR/matching data when scanner assistance is used.
- Catalog issue reports, including card ID, game, set, card name, report notes, and optional uploaded evidence images.
- Quote request details, including card counts, estimated values, and information you choose to include in the request.
- Tournament Director live sync data, such as event details, entrants, pairings, results, standings, and public viewer codes.
- eBay market lookup search terms and cached lookup results.
- Graded card certification lookup requests.
- Diagnostics, crash logs, performance data, device type, operating system, app version, and related technical information used to improve app stability.
How We Use Information
We use this information only to provide and improve Pirate Pete Collector features, including:
- Syncing trade profiles, matches, offers, and notifications.
- Processing card scanner and catalog report submissions.
- Generating quote requests.
- Supporting live tournament viewing and event management.
- Showing card market lookup results.
- Troubleshooting crashes, errors, and app performance issues.
- Responding to support requests.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use collected information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Service Providers
Pirate Pete Collector may use trusted service providers to operate app features, including backend hosting, Firebase Cloud Messaging, crash/error diagnostics, email delivery, eBay API services, and graded-card lookup services. These providers process information only as needed to provide app functionality, security, diagnostics, or support.
Photos and Images
If you upload or capture an image for scanner matching, graded card photos, or catalog issue reports, that image may be processed to provide the requested feature. Do not upload images that contain sensitive personal information.
Data Storage and Retention
Local app data remains on your device unless you export it, delete it, uninstall the app, or use an online feature that sends data to our backend. Backend data is retained as needed to provide app functionality, maintain records, troubleshoot issues, and support user requests.
Your Choices
You can choose not to use optional online features. You can disable push notifications in your device settings. You may request deletion of backend trade profile data, report data, or other information associated with you by contacting us.
Children’s Privacy
Pirate Pete Collector is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures, including encrypted network connections where applicable, to help protect information sent between the app and our services. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Data Deletion Requests
Pirate Pete Collector does not require users to create a login account. However, optional online features may store backend data such as trade profiles, trade offers, notification tokens, catalog issue reports, uploaded report images, scanner submissions, quote request details, and tournament live-view data.
To request deletion of backend data associated with you, email cole@piratepeteccg.com with the subject line “Pirate Pete Collector Data Deletion Request.”
Please include any information that helps us identify the data to delete, such as your trade display name, app profile ID if available, email address used for a quote request, or details about a report or tournament.
We will delete eligible backend data associated with the request unless we need to retain limited records for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, debugging, or legitimate business records. Local data stored only on your device can be deleted by using app controls, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app.
